Some of our favorite days are when we get out of Fort Worth and take a day trip to Dallas. For our last trip of freshman year, we decided to try something new: the Dallas Farmer’s Market!! It completely exceeded our expectations.
When we walked in, a cookie stand offered us a sample, which we sadly declined since we both are gluten free. But the angel of a salesman told us they were all gluten and dairy free! These were some of the best cookies we’ve ever had. Gluten free food is often dry and falls apart the second you touch it, but you would never tell that these cookies were gluten free! Ellie had the peanut butter chocolate blast, our friend Kate had tropical lemon coconut paradise, and Grace had pure vanilla cinnamon bliss! 10/10 recommend!!! As we continued to explore we hit the jackpot: flowers!! There is nothing better than being at a flower market in the spring, are we right?
We thought these outfits would be perfect for the Dallas Farmer’s Market because they are cute and comfy. Dallas is such a fashion hotspot so we always want to be on our A-game!! You never know when a photo-opp will come your way!
Grace: Surprisingly, I didn’t feel too hot in this outfit in the Texas heat. I wore my favorite jean brand EVER.. jbrand!!! They are definitely on the more expensive side, but I believe it’s important to spend your money on high quality staple pieces such as jeans and a great purse that will last you a lifetime. This top (similar) is one of my favorites as well- I love the tie in the front! I can’t say enough about these shoes– I just got them and they are so comfortable to walk around in and literately go with EVERYTHING!!!! This necklace also goes with everything as well- I’ve had this G necklace for so long, and I’m forever obsessed with it! These shoes are currently apart of the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale, so go check them out! Go check out my other favorite picks from the sale here!
How cute is this tassel pouch?? I got it as a gift and immediately fell in love! It fits my wallet and phone so easily, and goes with everything!! Anyone who knows me knows I love tassels so this is one of my favorite pieces in my closet for sure.
Ellie: I chose to wear this amazingly comfortable off-the-shoulder dress! Since I’m from Minnesota(a frozen tundra) I am easily overwhelmed by the Texas heat. Anything over 75 degrees and I am not wearing pants!! Just recently I picked up this gingham headband and it matches the dress perfectly! For shoes, I went for these striped lace-up espadrilles. Tying the ribbon into a bow in the back makes for such a fun detail to the outfit. I thought pearls would go great with this outfit, so I wore a classic pearl bracelet(similar) & basic pearl earrings. Naturally, I found my favorite flower, hydrangeas, which matched my dress so well! What are your favorite flowers? I also love tulips and peonies!!
